Bald in dem Busch, bald in dem Hag,
da leg' ich still mich nieder,
am moos'gen Rain, am Felsenjach,
bald unter blüh'ndem Flieder.
Ich träume, bin im Herzen froh,
erwachend sing' ich mein Hallo!
In Tälern weit, auf allen Höh'n,
da klingt's: Wie ist die Welt so schön!

Ein Vöglein, das im Busche schlägt,
dess Reislein sein Wiege,
singt Liedlein, die ein Lüftchen trägt
zum Plätzchen, wo ich liege.

Wie schön ist's, wenn, just wo ich bin,
die Wiesenblümlein grüßen
und Bächlein traulich zwischen hin
durch grüne Borden fließen.
