Heimliche Grüsse
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich habe nach jenen Bergen geschaut,
die dich und mich nun scheiden,
und heimliche Grüße ihnen vertraut
als Boten zwischen uns beiden.

Doch was ich dir sagte von ihnen, mein Kind,
sie haben's den Bäumen erzählet,
die Bäume wieder haben den Wind
zu ihrem Vertrauten erwählet.

Gleich musste der lose Wind mein Wort
den luftigen Wolken sagen,
nun haben's weithin die Wolken fort
in alle Lande getragen!
