Sitting once, rapt with delight
Language: English
Sitting once, rapt with delight, In my fairest mistress' sight, I took pleasure to compare Her eyes' whiteness to the air. That which compassed in the ball, I did purest water call; And the pretty inward round I styled earth. But O, I found, While some part I did desire For to liken unto fire, Ere I knew from whence it came, I myself grew all aflame.
