by Ludwig Koch (1806 - 1888)

Morgen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es tagt! O selige Stunde!
Schon bleichen die Sterne der Nacht,
schon sind mit der freudigen Kunde
die Sänger des Waldes erwacht.

Auf, lasset den Schlummer, die Träume,
begrüßet das goldene Licht!
Weit strömet sein Glanz durch die Räume,
die Nacht widerstehet ihm nicht.

Es wecket und nähret das Leben
und machet das Dasein zur Lust,
d'rum lasst nie den Morgen entschweben
mit Kummer in eurer Brust!
