Den Entschlafenen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie sie so sanft ruh'n,
alle die Seligen,
sanft ruh'n im Grabe,
still in der Erde Schoß!
Und wo sie schlummern,
schweigt die Freude,
stört keine Klage
den tiefen Frieden.

Und ob dem Grabe
leuchtet ein heller Stern,
und wo mit Tränen
sich heut' ein Auge füllt,
leuchtet er milde;
sanft durch Schmerzen
gießt er voll Klarheit
der Hoffnung Strahlen

Tief in die Schmerzen
Hoffnung für jedes Herz,
Glaube mit Treue,
weit über Grabesnacht.
Glaub' an der Liebe
ewigen Segen,
ewiger Segen
den treuen Herzen.
