by Mikael Lybeck (1864 - 1925)

Klockbojen
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Gungande dyning men ingen vind.
Dimmans molniga tågor
slå sin fuktighet mot min kind,
kyla mitt hjärta och göra mig blind.
Inga lefvande vågor,
ingen lefvande vind!

Klockbojen ringer.
Årorna tar jag ror och ror --
längtan att före natten
möta den höga klarhet, som bor
lik en stor, en strålande stor
syn öfver vida vatten,
ger mig kraft, när jag ror.

Klockbojen ringer, ringer.

Hvar är vägen? Jag stirrar mig blind
dimma, och endast dimma,
trycker sig tätare mot min kind.
Hvar är vägen för den, som är blind,
hvar en ljusnande strimma,
hvar en lefvande vind?

Klockbojen ringer.
