by Sigrid Agneta Sofia Elmblad (1860 - 1926), as Toivo

Båten gungar sakta
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Båten gungar sakta,
sakta öfver lätta böljor hän.
Pilar näckroskretsen vakta,
stundom kysst af lutad gren.
Solguld dallrar uppå vågen,
drömmar födas uti hågen,
vattnet är så underbart
genomskinligt klart.
Skimra der ej ljusa vingar
bakom mosstäckt furustam?
Hör du icke skratt som klingar
trollskt och mjukt ur skogen fram?
Vänd ditt roder! Låt oss följa
strimman, bölja efter bölja,
tills vi finna vägen namn,
hinna solens hamn!
