vid blommors hof blef jag snart din drottning

Hur ljus din panna, hur stolt din hållning!
hur varm din bön och hur fast ditt hopp!
Dock har ditt sinne som åren skiftat,
du bär ej skulden för tidens lopp.

Jag ville bjuda dig sol och grönska,
men hjertats frostnatt gjort marken bar,
jag ville bjuda dig hjertats rosor,
men hjertats törnen stå ensamt qvar.

Jag vill bjuda dig hjertats sommar
i prakt och fägring i lif och glöd.
Du käre, vände sig ej bort med vrede!
allt hvad jag eger är hjertats död.
