Min Karin, nu dig visa glad
som min gemål för land och stad.
Ack, Herre Kung, din tjenstemö
af skräck och ångest blott vill dö!

Nu kring de ljusa lockars svall,
den gyllne ringen fästas skall.
Ack hur mitt hufvud bure sällt
en blåklintskrans bland skördefält!

Nu med de hvita fingrar små
tag spiran med demanter på.
Ack, hur jag såge mera lugnt ett ax,
af klara droppar tungt!

Nu sjunk i purpurkuddars famn
hos mig i tronens trygga hamn.
Min Kung, om lyckan vänder sig,
min trogna famn skall skyla dig!
