vars röst ljuder långt, som en malm, en cymbal,
men som icke vet kärlekens hemlighet,

Ty envar profetia och psalm skall förgå

men allt som av kärlek är fyllt skall bestå
och leva och vara som Qud.

I kärlek den stingande tistel blir skön,
och majregn vattnar förtorkade land,
och en ros kan dofta, en äng bliva grön
mitt i öknens brännande sand.
