by Tor Hedberg (1862 - 1931)

Vita sommarsky
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Vita sommarsky, som höjer
dig från skogens toppar stilla,
sol, som än kring vaggan dröjer,
där hon vaknat nyss, den lilla!

Ack, hur många gånger redan
himlens skyar jag sett skrida,
växlande i ny och nedan
över detta tomma, vida --

Vita sky -- och likväl ger jag
mig på nytt i undret fången,
ty i blåa ögon ser jag
allt på nytt för första gången.

Confirmed with Hemmets Sånger. Dikter av Tor Hedberg, andra upplagan, Stockholm, Albert Bonniers Förlag, 1922, page 16.
