Det är allenast du och jag, som veta det är vårens dag, som se att på vår trädgårdsgång nu blomblad falla, fång på fång, som höra kvitter, fåglar slå i klastung syrénberså! Och åt de andra skratta vi, ty vårens klara melodi de våga icke vänta än, de spana emot himmelen, de tro den gifva köld och snö och frysa så de kunna dö! Ej almanackan lurar oss, ur hennes ok vi sluppit loss. Må andra läsa där, med id och vänta snällt på blomstrens tid. Det är allenast du och jag, som veta: Nu är vårens dag!
