Svanen
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Hör Du hur de böljor små.
sqvalpande mot stranden slå?
Känner Du hur Vestans anda,
vill med hjertats suck sig blanda?

Källan porlar, löfven susa,
strängarna harmoniskt brusa.
Snöhvit svanen lugn och trygg,
gungar än på vågens rygg,
Än han sången lik sig svingar,
pröfande unga vingar.

Vill ej mer i insjön vara,
vill till högre Zoner fara.
Så ock sången sträcker vingen
Hän, dit ingen fäst vid tingen
Lyftat har sin andes flygt.
