Trauergesang
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ach, der|die Teure ist verschieden,
der|die mit Lieb' uns zugewandt
und nach manchem Kampf hinieden
nun die ew'ge Ruhe fand,
der|die auf immer uns entrücket,
den|die des Todes Sichel traf,
der|die so rastlos uns beglücket,
schläft des ew'gen Friedens Schlaf.

Nicht nur alle die Verwandten -
blicket auf die Menge hin! -
alle, alle, die ihn|sie kannten,
stehen stumm mit trübem Sinn.
Darum naht mit leisem Schritte,
senkt das Herz in Trauer tief,
weil der Herr aus uns'rer Mitte
einen|eine uns'rer Liebsten rief.
