Trinklied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Rasch füllet die Becher und trinket,
genießet das flüchtige Glück;
die Stunde, die lachend uns winket,
kehrt nimmer und nimmer zurück.

Wie locket süßduftend zum Nippen
der perlende, schäumende Wein,
wie ladet der Becher die Lippen
zum Kusse, zum glühenden, ein!

O lasst ihn vergebens nicht winken,
weist nimmer den Becher zurück!
Wir wollen ihn küssen und trinken
der Liebe, dem Liede, dem Glück.

Confirmed with Für Musik. Lieder, Romanzen und Chöre von J. S. Tauber, Wien, 1863.
