Mother dear
Language: English
Mother dear, please let me go with Hans. Don't keep me; let me go. If with Hans I can dance, Mother, 'twould please me so! Scarlet shoes he's wearing, Mother mine. Yes, and some buckles too! Goodness me, how they shine! Mother, I love him true! Do you s'pose if I should smile this way So that my Hans could see, Mother, that he would say, "Gretel, do marry me!"
