by Augusto Ferrán (1835 - 1880)
Translation by Friedrich Heinrich Oser (1820 - 1891)

Mutter, gute Mutter du!
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Spanish (Español)
Mutter, gute Mutter du!
Wirst mich drum wohl träg nicht schelten
Daß ich lieb' und nichts sonst thu,
Wie man thut in allen Welten.

Nein! wirst loben meinen Fleiß,
Der das stolze Herz bezwungen,
Streicheln mir die Wangen heiß,
Daß so emsig ich gerungen.

Wirst mir winken: Ruh nur, ruh,
Wie man ruht bei heil'ger Feier,
Und mir freudig lächeln zu:
Glück und Segen, wackrer Freier!

Confirmed with Neue Lieder von Friedrich Oser (1874-1884.), Basel, Verlag von M. Bernheim, 1885, page 119.
