Bitte zu Gott um Frieden
Language: German (Deutsch)
Der Kön'ge Herzen, Rat und Sinn
hast du, o Gott, in Händen,
du kannst sie auch allein dahin,
wo dir's beliebet wenden.
Ach neige du sie selbst dazu,
daß sie doch stiften Fried' und Ruh'
und allen Jammer stillen!

Breit' aus um unser Reich und Land
die Flügel deiner Gnaden,
beschütz' und segne jeden Stand,
wend' Unglück ab und Schaden!
So werden wir dich je derzeit
für solche Gnad' und Gütigkeit
samt unsern Kindern preisen.

Dies alles, Vater, werde wahr,
du wollest es erfüllen,
erhör' und hilf uns immerdar
um Jesu Christi willen,
denn dein, o Herr, ist allezeit
von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit das Reich,
die Macht und Ehre!
