by Fritz Fink (1893 - 1945)

Das ewige Lied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ewig, ewig steigt herauf das Lied
in das alte Was und Wie.
Jeden schaftt zwar nur ein Glied,
seine eigne Melodie.

Jeder hebet die Hand auf zur Tat,
zu Licht und Schein.
Jeder lebt mir urverwandt
neben mir sein eignes Sein.

Warte nicht, bis du verklingst,
frag nicht, Mensch, was bebst du auf?
Du singst deine eigne Melodie.
Ewig steigt herauf das Lied.
