Die Liebeserklärung
Language: German (Deutsch)
Chosen for Diff
Sprich, Mädchen, ist es Zauberei,
die so an dich mich zieht,
dass fern von dir mich Freud' und Lust
und Glück und Ruhe flieht?

Dass selbst im Traum dein Bild mich quält?
Du blickst mich huldvoll an,
und wenn ich dich umfassen mag,
erwach' ich armer Mann!

Jüngst ging am Bach ich kummervoll,
dein denkend und allein;
ich glaubt', im Wasserspiegel dich
zu schau'n - und fiel hinein!

Ende diese Sorgen, ach,
tilge diese Qual!
Stille dieses Sehnen und
kröne meine Wahl!

Wollt' dich immer lieben,
du wärst mein höchstes Gut,
dir weiht' ich mein Leben,
und dir gehört mein Blut!

Deine Laune tragen
sollt' Götterdienst mir sein,
doch dafür dein Händchen:
Komm und werde mein!

Wehe jedem Frevler,
der dich zu kränken wagt;
ihm hat deines Blickes Sonne
zum letzten Mal getagt!

Keine Schön're neben dir
des Herzens Göttin sei!
Ich verlange nur dafür,
wenn's sein kann: Bleib' mir treu!
