About the headline (FAQ)

Confirmed with Michael Hauber, Vollständiges Christkatholisches Gebetbuch, 10th edition, München: M. Lindauer'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung und Hofbuchdruckerei, 1831, page 106.

Note (Sharon Krebs): Josephine Lang attributes this text to Thomas Aquinas in her manuscript, but this appears to be a mistake. The text can also be found in Willibalds-Büchlein: Lebensgeschichte des heiligen Willibald, ersten Bischofs und Apostels der Diözese Eichstätt und Andachts-Übungen für seine dankbaren Verehrer von Aloys Vogl, Ingolstadt und Eichstätt, Verlag der Krüll'schen Buchhandlung, 1866, p. 109 - as part of a longer prayer called "Sehnsucht" where it is followed by a separate prayer titled "Ein schönes Gebet des heiligen Thomas von Aquin vor der heil. Communion." If this was one of Lang's sources, she may have taken this as the poet attribution of the text rather than the title of the following text.
