by Paul Weil (1865 - 1939)

Notre jardin
Language: French (Français)
Qu'il est reposant et coquet
Notre jardin : qu'il est paisible !
Le soir il semble un grand bouquet
Que noue un fleuriste invisible.
Ce n'est qu'un murmure confus
Qui par instants se précipite ;
Puis le silence on n'entend plus
Qu'un lys qui faiblement s'agite
La brise apporte en se jouant,
Un parfum de fleurs qui саresse
Et la nuit descend lentement...
C'est I'heure d'exquise paresse.
Seuls, deux oiseaux sont en éveil
Et s'aiment dans leur nid de mousse
Jusques au lever du soleil
Faisons comme eux la nuit est douсе...
