Maanlicht

De volle maan omhult de aarde met haren sluier van glans
  en de schaduw der boomen kruipt over de lichte wegen
De witte nachtbloemen pronken tusschen het groen
  en lokken torren en vlinders met bedwelmende geur.
Verder weg kwaken de kikkers in de lotusvijvers
  en tjirpen krekels in de boomen.
De tokè galmt z’n vreemden zang
  en wij… we hebben elkaar zoo lief.
