Luranah
Language: English
I waited and watch'ed her coming the twilight sinking fast
I stood list'ning in the gloaming the river flowing past
Lapping and sighing so lightly swiftly it cours'd by me
While the moonbeams dancing brightly gilding its way to the sea

Oh darling thy future in life's ebb and flow
Shall pass as that river
Doth peacefully flow
Joyous and happy thy young life with me
Shall glide as that river
Flow on to the sea

She came I clasp'd her fondly and smil'd with sweet content
I ask'd her in that gloaming to give the fond consent
whisper'd and breath'd so lightly like Heav'n it came to me
While the river sparkling brightly Echo'd that yes to the sea

Oh darling thy future in life's ebb and flow
Shall pass as that river
Doth peacefully flow
Joyous and happy thy young life with me
Shall glide as that river
Flow on to the sea
