Remembrance
Language: English
Oh, why do I remember when rememb'ring is in vain? Ah, why do other raptures fade to nothing while you remain? When I walk alone through the garden in the twilight, The mem'ry of your face thrills all my senses, And your presence fills the night. Forever beside me your sweet shadow moving enhances my dreams with remembered delight, How swiftly your bright image fills my waiting heart again, and always the echo of your voice, the mem'ry of your lips, the longing for your arms completely fills my heart with love.
