Hélas! qui va, sans toi, de ma frêle nacelle
Écarter l'aquilon qui souffle l'ouragan;
Que ta prière au moins, mon étoile fidèle,
La conduise toujours sur l'immense Océan,

Vois, déjà sur les flots mollement balancée,
Ma nacelle dérive, et bientôt sans effort
Par le vent qui fraîchit, vivement élancée,
Elle sillonne l'onde et fuit enfin le port.
