by Eugen von Kahler (1882 - 1911)

Ziehst du, süssestes Gefühl
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ziehst du, süßestes Gefühl
der Müdigkeit in mein verwundetes Herz,
legst tröstlich deine mildernde Hand
auf mein Leid, auf mein innres Gewühl,
nimmst mich aus meinem Schmerz
in dein fernes heiliges Land.
Deine Hand küß ich in Ergriffenheit,
ich bin so wund, ich will schlafen,
meine Trauer nimmst du im Schlafen, liebe Müdigkeit.
Schon neigen sich ferne Gesichte
ernst geschlossenen Augen,
die Nacht kommt in ihrem Lichte.
