Mystical Hope
Language: English
They spoke of hope. I did believe them,
once, before darkness covered my earth,
the future bled from my soul.
High walls, low ceilings, closed doors held back the air;
I lay breathless, clinging to my torment.
They had to beat down my door,
pull me into the light,
revive my will to breathe on my own.
That day I slowly rose to my feet
and felt a strong current of air running through me,
I realized it had always been there,
it was hope running through me,
unfettered by my desires.
Hope, I sense your inner sonar
guiding me t'ward my true destiny
Mystical presence intimately at hand,
persisting through shattered dreams,
meet me in my truth—
hold me in communion with your body of love.
