Piper June
Language: English
When June the Piper passes
Across the land again,
The whole world shouts a welcome
And greets his happy strain
The skies above grow bluer,
And magic hours begin;
He plays the flow'ry Maytime out,
He plays the Summer in!

Refrain.
Play, play, a merry, merry tune,
Play your music, Piper Junel
Let your notes go floating over
Hill and dale and field of clover!
Wake the birds to joyous singing,
Set the bells of youth a-ringing,
Play our hearts love's golden tune,
Merry, merry Piper June!

When Piper June is playing,
The streams all join his song,
And laughing breezes carry
His melodies along.
We soon forget our troubles,
And life is glad anew;
0, Piper June, why can't you stay
And play the whole year through?
