by Robert Hamerling (1830 - 1889)

Reisebild
Language: German (Deutsch)
O sieh, wie golden die Blümlein
Die thauige Wiese durchsticken,
Wie Veilchen träumen und nicken
Im Thalgrund um den See.
Schön, während vorüber uns führet
Das Dampfroß qualmenden Hauches,
Blickt durch die Wolken des Rauches
Mohnblüte und grüner Klee.

Und traulich locket die Berghöh',
Wo über dem Felsgesteine
Friedlich im Abendscheine
Die Purpurwolke schifft:
Da sitzet der Hirt und die Hirtin,
Und um sie grasen die Böcklein
Und Lämmer mit klingenden Glöcklein
Auf stiller Weidetrift.
