Abschied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Jetzt wird es klar, du hast gescherzt
Mit meiner Lieb' und Treue.
Die Wunde brennt, die Wunde schmerzt,
Und heilt durch keine Reue.

Nicht will an Schilf und wankend Rohr
Ich meinen Nachen binden,
Daß, käm' ein Sturm, ich blöder Thor
Trieb' hin zu allen Winden.

Leb wohl! Ich scheide thränenvoll,
Mußt ich so schwer mich irren?
Doch komme, was das kommen soll,
Mich wirst du nicht verwirren.

Ein tücht'ger Schiffer nie verzagt,
Er wird die Fahrt bestehen,
Und hoch am Mast in tiefster Nacht
Stäts heil'ge Feuer sehen.
