Luna chiena
Language: Italian - Neapolitan (dialect)
Mo che la luna è chiena
Rosè, viene con mmè....
No poco ammalappena
Voglio parlà co tte!...
Si vide comm’è bello
Lo cielo, guè, Rosè....
È cosa rara chello
Che sbrenne attuorno a tte!

Lo mare è tutto argiento
Te mmita a sospirà,
No specchio, che lo viento
Te fa tremmolà!...
Pò sule sule stammo
Nisciuno a sentì sta,
Chello che nce cantammo
Meno pe sta a ppenà!...

La luna chiena sbrenne
Rosè pe nfaccia a tte....
E da lo cielo scenne
Pe ffà ascì pazzo a mmè!...
E sulo chella luna
Nce pole compatè,
Essa che cchiù nisciuna
Stella sta nanz’ a ave!...

E quanno se ne trase
Se mette pò a penzà
Rosè, a tutte li vase
Che te sò stato a dda’!...
E ascire pò mancante
La sera appriesso sta,
Che’ a te n’avenno nnante
Non t’àve d’appassà!!
