Paaske vi holde
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Paaske vi holde
Alle vide Vegne;
Varme og kolde,
Lune Himmel-Egne
Samtlig berømme som bedst
Opstandelsens Fest!
Thi, med hinanden,
Alle vi maae hade
Helved-Tyrannen,
Som giør Orme glade,
Ham under Muld, Herre Christ!
Du fældte forvist!
Udraab fra Taget
Rygte tusindmundet:
Død tabde Slaget,
Liv har Seier vundet,
Han, der saa enlig sov hen,
Kom talrig igien!
Han sig har svunget
Fra, hvor Orme vrimle,
Evig besjunget,
Over alle Himle,
Dødninger mange i Grav
Han Livet og gav!
Nu fra hans Øie
Straaler Guddoms-Glandsen,
Og fra det Høie
Han, med Seiers-Krandsen,
Dages som Dommer paany,
I guldbræmmet Sky!
Christ! fra dit Sæde,
Høire-Haandens Throne,
Send du os Glæde,
Sang med Engle-Tone!
Livet for os du jo lod,
For os du opstod!
Doms-Hornet lyder
Sikkert paa det Sidste,
Og, som du byder,
Alle Grave briste,
Men ak, desværre, ei Faa
Til Doms kun opstaae!
Flyv da til Himlen,
Hjerte, Rod at fæste,
Saa ei med Vrimlen
Helved du skal giæste,
Synke, med Afgrundens Kryb,
I bundløse Dyb!
