by Robert Reinick (1805 - 1852)

Trost
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich habe geruht und geträumet,
Daß ich mein Liebchen sah',
Und hinter den dunkeln Bergen
Da steigt der Mond in die Höh'.

Welch freundlich Grüßen bringt er
In seinem milden Schein
Der Erde von ihrer Sonne
Und mir vom Liebchen mein!

Und rings in Fern' und Nähe
Wie wird es hell und klar!
Und auch in meinem Herzen,
Wo's erst so dunkel war!

Nun kann ich fröhlich wandern
In die helle Frühlingsnacht:
Sie hat mich ja gegrüßet!
Das hat mich so froh gemacht!
