by Carel Steven Adama van Scheltema (1877 - 1924)

Wakker
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
De haat gaat door mijn drukke hart -
Daar wordt weer wat verrekend!
Daar wordt weer ellek woord apart
In 't donker opgeteekend!

De haat holt door mijn groote hart -
Mijn hersens houdt hij wakker,
Hij zwaait een dikke zwarte gard
Voor menig kwade rakker!

Oproerig hart doe niet zoo pijn!
Hoe kom je zoo bezeten - -
Toe! morgen in de zonneschijn
Ben je alles weer vergeten!
