by Michael Rosing (1830 - 1904)

O, hvor er jeg glad i Dag
Language: Danish (Dansk)
O, hvor er jeg glad i Dag!
Bøgen hejset har sit flag
over alle strande.
Svalen hviner gennem luft
der er sang og lys og luft
over Danmarks lande

Skoven er det bedste slot:
slipper indenfor man blot,
vil man ej tilbage;
Længere og længer ind,
blindet blødt af drømmens spind,
lader du dig drage.

O, hvor er jeg glad i dag,
våren vundet har sin sag.
mørket måtte svinde.
Bøgens unge, friske blad
fæster i min hat jeg glad,
jeg vil også vinde.
