Weihnachtslied

Kommt Kinder gross und klein.
Es bricht ein Licht herein!
Ein helles, süsses Himmelslicht,
Von des Knäbleins Angesicht.

Zur Erde trugen Englein hold
Dies Licht, damit ihr's sehen sollt,
Nun leuchtet es mit schöner Pracht
Am Christbaum in der Weihenacht,

D'rum jubelt ihr so froh und laut,
Wenn ihr die vielen Lichter schaut
Und draussen tönt ein Festgeläut'
Für alle Menschenkinder heut'.

Wem dies Geläut' das Herz umwebt,
Wer zu dem Baum ein Kindlein hebt;
der wird, ihr Kleinen glaubt es mir,
So herzensfroh und jung wie ihr.
