Den vildene Fugl
Language: Norwegian (Bokmål) 
Den vildene Fugl er en ensom Fugl,
og Ingen kjender dens Sted,
Den bygger sig aldrig Rede selv,
har ingen at fölges med.

Men ser den en Rede staa tom for Dun,
alt I den vildene Skov,
Da plukker den Fjær, Fjær af sit eget Bryst
til andre Fugles Behov.

Den vildene Fugl hare n Sjæl af Ild,
den Öine brænder I Glöd
Man siger om Öine, som ligner dens:
de varsler en tidlig Död.

Man signer, om nogen kan fange den ind,
da vilden loendes I Aar,
men ingen kan fange, fange den Gugl I Hus,
hvor stride de Storme gaar!
