by Octavian Goga (1881 - 1938)

Bea şi dumneata, părinte
Language: Romanian (Română)
Bea şi dumneata, părinte,
Dumnezeu să-ţi ţie darul,
Să mai poţi ceti psaltirea
Să mai poţi goli paharul.

Că noi bem de patru zile
Cu crâşmarul, umfle-l zmeii,
Bem, părinte, ca la nunta
De la Cana Galileii.

Ce-ar mai fi de lumea asta
– Zice-alaltăieri vecinul –
Ca la nunta de la Cana,
De-am găti din apă vinul?

N-ar fi bine, măi vecine!
N-ar fi crâşme-atunci deloc,
Şi crâşmarul Niculaie
Nu s-ar duce-n iarmaroc...

N-ar mai fi nici Laie Chioru,
Ţie-l paza Maicii sfinte,
Nici Aniţa-cârcimăriţa.
Şi ne-am prăpădi, părinte!...
