by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben (1798 - 1874)

Aller Anfang ist schwer
Language: German (Deutsch)
Michel wollte schlittschuhlaufen lernen geh'n,
Juchhe! juchhe!
Ließ sich auf dem blanken Eise seh'n,
He didel dum! Eise seh'n, he didel didel de!

«Muth gefaßt! jetzt schwenk' ich mich herum, herum!»
Juchhe! juchhe!
Hat es kaum gedacht, da fällt er um,
He didel dum! fällt er um, he didel didel de!

Und er stehet auf: «der Anfang ist gemacht!»
Juchhe! juchhe!
Und er purzelt wieder, daß es kracht,
He didel dum! daß es kracht, he didel didel de!

Oft noch fällt er, stehet immer wieder auf,
Juchhe! juchhe!
Endlich lernt er doch den Schlittschuhlauf,
He didel dum! Schlittschuhlauf, he didel didel de!

Aller Anfang ist ja schwer -- wer das nicht weiß,
Juchhe! juchhe!
Ei, der bleibe lieber von dem Eis,
He didel dum! von dem Eis, he didel didel de!
