„Halleluja!“ dröhnt es hernieder,
„Halleluja!“ schwingt es sich auf;
„Christ lag in Banden,“ tönen die Lieder,
„Christ ist erstanden,“ klingt es zu Hauf.

Und uns zu Häupten, und uns zu Füßen
keimt es und kommt es an Strauch und an Baum.
Bald werden tausend Knospen uns grüßen,
Halme sprießen am Waldessaum!

Hoffnung erfüllt sich, und neues Hoffen
hebt sich aus der Erfüllung empor.
Werdezeit! Du machst das Herze uns offen,
aufschauend geh'n wir aus dir hervor.
