by Jacqueline E. van der Waals (1868 - 1922)

Met hun pooten in de vaart
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Met hun pooten in de vaart
Staan de koeien
en ze loeien
En ze zwaaien met hun staart
En ze slurpen met hun mond.
En de varkens, hoe ze wroeten
met hun snoeten
In den vuilen moddergrond.
En de eendjes zwemmen in het water
- Falderalderiere! -
Wat gekwek en wat gesnater,
Het zijn zulke drukke dieren!
En de randen
van de landen
Zijn van boterbloemen geel.
Ach, ik zou zoo tusschenbei' en
Om die bloemen kunnen schreien:
Het zijn er zoo heel, heel veel.
