Två skälmska ljuva ögon blå
mig följa hvart jag än vill gå. --
God morgon, hviskar en röst så gladt,
och när det skymmer, god natt, god natt!

De skälmska ljuva ögon blå 
dock långt från mig som himlen stå
och denna röst som mitt hjärtas rör,
det är i drömmen jag blott den hör.

De skälmska ljuva ögon blå
mig ner i graven lysa må
och denna röst af min fjärran vän
i granen susa däröver än.
