by Tor Hedberg (1862 - 1931)

Sista strålen
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Nu glider sista strålen
af dagen ur vårt fång.
Nu ha vi endast skuggan kvar
af sol som var en gång.

Igenom mörka kronor
går redan vindens sus.
Säg, tror du väl, vi finna väg
vid våra minnens ljus?

Du synes mig så fjärran,
fast stigen syns så trång,
och ofvan oss i rymden dör
vår lyckas sköra sång.

Confirmed with Sånger och Sagor af Tor Hedberg, Stockholm, Albert Bonniers Förlag, 1908, pages 94-95.
