Tiptoe
Language: English
It you wake up early And are out before the dawn, You may see the fairy folk A-dancing on the lawn. Neat foot, fleet foot, Dancing in the dew; If you go on tiptoe And they don't see you. When you see the crocuses Scattered here and there, They are fairy dancing dresses Hung about to air. Neat dress, sweet dress, Shining in the dew; Waiting for the fairies Till they can't see you. So wake up, little sleepy head, And rub your drowsy eyes. Come into the garden Ere the sun begins to rise. Slip down, trip down, Dabble in the dew; Then you'll see the fairies If they don't see you.
