We will not part again
Language: English
The hour was sad when last we met ;
Our bosoms throbb'd with pain :
But now the sun of life shall set
Ere we shall part again .

All sorrow banish'd, we'll be gay,
And Truth and Joy shall reign ;
No night of absence cloud Love's day,-
We will not part again !

Those sparkling eyes with tears were dim,
Those lips with grief were pale ;
Now with affection they shall beam,
And tell a kinder tale.

Each rolling year its bliss shall bring ;
Ourhappy lives shall be
As well-strung harps,-no jarring string
To mar their harmony.
