We instruments refine
Air to breath and breath to words–
Transcending tongues through song.
 
The sum of ourselves,
Cast into eternity, returns transformed–
That which has perished,
Changed and cherished,
Welcomed home.
 
We sang before we spoke–
When words fail, we sing.
