Don't Forget Lady Jane Grey!
Language: English
Don’t Forget Lady Jane Grey!
Henry the Seventh killed Richard the third,
First time the Tudor name was heard,
Had two sons
But his ;irst son, Arthur, died
So Henry the Eighth was the one who survived.

Henry the seventh then Henry the Eighth
He left the abbeys in a pretty bad state!
          Edward died,
          Mary really tried,
But Tudor’s best was Good Queen Bess!

“What do I hear you say?’
          “Don’t forget Lady Jane Grey!”

Henry the Eighth, the son who survived,
He was the king who had six wives.
Even then he only left one son to reign
And Edward didn’t live for long,
Oh what a shame!

Lady Jane Grey, the nine days queen
Shortest reign you’ve ever seen!
Went to the block,
Her head went splat
‘Cos Bloody Mary took the throne and that was that!

Five long years Mary ruled the throne,
Bloodiest years the country’s known.
People burnt and murdered,
What an awful mess
Hurray for the rule of Good Queen Bess!
