Wij komen alle drie

Wij komen alle drie uit vreemde landen,
uit orienten door een ster geleid,
vieren uwe macht en kussen uwe handen,
groeten met ootmoed uw majesteit.
Ik wense dat u God zoude voorspoed geven
en lange laten leven voor ons zaligheid.
Dit nieuw geboren kind, de vorst der joden,
Hoe groot is zijn macht en machtengebied,
dat de hemel zelf zendt sterren ons voorboden,
die ons metter spoed tot hem ontbiedt.
Wij zullen hem dan met gebogen leden
giften met gebeden geven, die gij ziet.
