Que, por achar de mais tanta ventura,
Ó delicada e meiga criatura
Temo que venha o instante de perder-te.

Todo o bem que em minh'alma esse amor verte
Faz-se depressa em pérfida tortura:
Julgo que enlouqueci, pois é loucura
pensar que te perdi só por não ver-te.

Se penso, és tu meu pensamento,
Canto, e és tu a estrofe do meu canto.
Falo, teu nome é o termo que me vem, risonho;

Se de saudade choro, és o meu pranto;
És meu silêncio se de dor me calo,
És o meu sonho, quando à noite sonho.
